Its DP becomes the value it would have when it's unaffected by the DP reduction. For example, if a Digimon has an original DP of 5000 and its DP is reduced by -2000 (making its current DP 3000), its DP will no longer be reduced if you choose it for this card's [Main] effect, therefore its DP will become 5000.
